We have a great masterclass opportunity coming up very soon! NATS: Boston Chapter will be sponsoring Ellen Rissinger, an international vocal coach and accompanist, with many years experience on the musical staff of several German opera houses. She is a leading opera educator, currently on the musical staff of Semperoper in Dresden, Germany, as well as giving many masterclass appearance at universities and starting a new podcast at www.thedictionpolice.com.

Ellen will present a masterclass on ‘Auditioning for German-speaking opera houses’ She will cover some of the differences in their system and also some of the common questions in German that a singer might be expected to respond to during the course of a German audition.

6-8 participants and alternates will be chosen to sing for the class.Those who would like to sing, please email your resume and any current sound clips to Tom Oesterling at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Those singers chosen to sing will be asked to pay a fee of $25 to help defray the cost of bringing Ms. Rissinger to Boston. Singers will be chosen both on the basis of their level of professionalism and the goal of providing a diverse assortment of singers.
